BOY GEORGE AND CULTURE CLUB UNVEIL VIDEO FOR COMEBACK SINGLE ‘LET SOMEBODY LOVE YOU’ – WATCH

It's the groundbreaking group's first new music in almost 20 years.

Almost 20 years since the release of 1999’s Don’t Mind If I Do, Boy George and Culture Club are back with a brand new single ‘Let Somebody Love You’.

The iconic new wave group unveiled the video their first music in almost two decades on Tuesday (September 4), marking a major step in a comeback that began in 2014 with two mammoth world tours.

According to the band, the ‘Let Somebody Love You’ video “presents George’s take on a Speaker’s Corner, turning protesting on its head with the message to ‘talk about the things that you love rather than the things that you hate’.

The track is the first to be lifted from Culture Club’s upcoming sixth studio album Life set for release in the UK on 26 October.

Produced by Future Cut and written by George and fellow bandmembers Roy Hay, Michael Craig, Jon Moss and Ritchie Stevens marks the the group’s first sinlge since 1999’s ‘Cold Shoulder’/’Starman’.

Since bursting on to the scene in 1981, Culture Club have sold more than 150 million records worldwide with hits including ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’ and ‘The War Song’.

As the first multi-racial band with an openly gay front man, Culture Club established themselves as icons of British musical history and popular culture, winning a Grammy for Best New Artist in 1984.

The band reunited in 2014 and embarked on two worldwide sell-out tours, with ‘The Life Tour’ set to hit the UK in November.

The Life Tour: starring Boy George & Culture Club, which also features ’80s pop icon Belinda Carlisle is set to visit 11 cities across the UK kicking off November 9 in Nottingham through to November 23.
