Montreal Gay Pride August 10-20, 2017

MONTREAL- AUGUST 19: Unidentified participant at the Montreal Pride parade Celebrations festival on August 19, 2012, Montreal, Canada. This event has a mandate to involve, educate and entertain.

The 2017 Montréal LGBTQ Parade is scheduled for Sunday August 20, 2017, beginning at noon. The parade will start on the corner of Drummond Street and travel east on René-Lévesque Boulevard, culminating on Alexandre-DeSève Street and the Village. The crowd will march to Parc des Faubourgs where everyone is invited to continue the celebrations during the MEGA T-DANCE until the closing show.

PfizerIn 2017, the Pride Parade is presented by Viagra.

The parade will feature floats from hundreds of local sports teams, cultural and community groups as well as other gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender organizations. The parade will also feature both gay and gay-friendly businesses that join us in celebrating the significant contributions of their LGBT employees and clients.

These events honour an important tradition that began in Montréal in 1979. Participating groups and businesses will be encouraged to design their floats incorporating this year’s theme of “Canada Pride Montréal 2017”

Another exciting addition to these events will be the designation of the Montréal Pride Grand Marshals. The names of these members of the LGBT community, one selected for his/her contribution to the visibility of the LGBTQ movement and one for his/her contribution to our community, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Furthermore, the Montréal Pride will be giving a series of special awards for the most exciting, crowd-pleasing and unforgettable floats.

  • Most Crowd-Pleasing Float
  • Best Expression of the 2017 Theme
  • Best Choreography by a group
  • Best Costume and Make-up
  • Community Group Float of the year
  • Corporate Float of the year, as well as special “Jury Prizes” to be awarded at the discretion of our panel of distinguished judges.

Join us on René-Lévesque Boulevard on August 20, beginning at noon, for the 2017 Montréal Pride Celebrations!
